Nurturing Cognition and Awe of God | Love Is Deeper Than Words

“…then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].”

Quran 79:19

In this presentation, I will delve into the Attributes of God and Quranic passages to help us reflect on our relationship with God.

We aim to attain purity and develop a sincere and truthful relationship with God, enabling us to nurture our souls and develop a sense of Awe for Him. We can avoid chasing after false idols by being grateful for the gift of faith.

We hope that God will guide us to be sincere and true in our faith, fulfilling our obligations without obligating Him.

When I suggest not worrying about the sins of others, I am referring to personal and private matters. However, contacting the appropriate law enforcement agency is essential if the situation is criminal, as we must protect ourselves and others from harm.

Some people ask, “Do you believe in science or God?” Such inquiries reflect a misunderstanding of both science and God.

Science is a tool, a systematic approach to organizing knowledge about the natural world. It involves making observations, formulating hypotheses, conducting experiments, and analyzing data to develop testable explanations and predictions. Scientists use this method to discover truths and expand our understanding of the universe. This has resulted in many advancements in fields such as medicine and technology, ultimately benefiting society.

God is the Creator and Lord of the Universe. He sent us on earth to worship Him, and discover the world He created. He sent a Divine Message through pure Angels and human Messengers, on how to live on earth, and prepare our journey home, back to Him, as we do not belong here. Yes, we are extraterrestrial beings.

Reason recognizes that our understanding is insignificant compared to the vastness of the unknown. It is unwise to assume that higher truths can be uncovered solely through science and our limited knowledge without the guidance of the Divine. A true scientist acknowledges their ignorance and surrenders their will to the Divine using science as a tool to know the world, not a tool to test God.
