Chapter 3: Why Study Islam?

by Fadwa Wazwaz

The desert Arabs say, “We believe.” Say, “Ye have no faith; but ye (only)say, ‘We have submitted our wills to Allah,’ For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Quran 49:14

Third chapter

Discussion on the third chapter of my book, God Intervenes Between A Person And Their Heart: Key Lessons From The Prophets. This chapter invites us to be sincere in our criticism of Islam. Are we truly interested in knowing Islam and how Islamic teachings view the world? The chapter discusses the harm of misinformation and calls us to reflect on the Jan 6, 2021 sedition as a case in point.

As with any subject, criticism requires honest study of the matter.
