Al-Amal School Bags 56 Awards at Central MN Regional Science Fair

Al-Amal School participated in the Central Minnesota Regional Science Fair at St. Cloud State University on February 25, 2012. Al-Amal won 56 awards in various categories. 16 Al-Amal teams advanced to the state finals in the exhibit and research categories to be held in March 2012. This represented a 400% increase in the number of teams moving to the state finals compared to last year! Al-Amal also received a special award for fielding the most teams in the competition.

City of Fridley Mayor, Scott Lund congratulated Al-Amal as follows, “Please pass along my congratulations to all of the students, teachers, parents and supporters of Al Amal School for the successes at the regional science fair. The numerous awards is proof again of the strength and commitments of the Muslim school community to further excellence in education. I am proud to have the Al Amal School call Fridley home. Give my best to all those advancing to the state competition in March.”
