We had respectful workplace training at work today. I was surprised to find that the religious discrimination category had the smallest percent of complaints with the EEOC. I think that may be due in part for fear of retribution. Retribution was one of the largest categories. People have to realize that if you complain and then someone attacks you for complaining, you can complain about that. They encouraged us to be vocal about problems. I have to admit that I have been quiet at times to not make waves. The problem with that is that you open yourself to more of the same. It takes courage to come forward with a complaint. I applaud the workers described above, and the good work that sister Afzal and CAIR are doing.

I totally agree, accomodating the Somali population will lead to positive change, not negative which is a misconception.
