Thanks for your comments. If you look at the issue intellectually, it may seem rich, but if you emotionally detach from both and step back and look for patterns in the reasoning and logic - you will see similarities.

War - has ground rules. Number one is it needs to be launched through legitimate authority, and implemented through legimate warfare rules. Waging war against the will of the international community is very similar to terrorists who are weak who also claim to wage war, without authority or consultation of the community they belong to against the strong.

Please listen to the talk below by Habib Ali as he describes the spiritual similarities between oppression by those in power and terrorism by those who are weak.

He speaks in Arabic, but there is a translation in English. It is a good talk.

Listen to the point he makes on "Outstripping the limits" or transgressing the bounds. When those who are in power or those who are weak act without a sense of accountability to anyone and no sense of boundaries - it is dangerous on both ends to all.

Dr. Jamal Badawi's refreshing approach to addressing these critical questions leaves the audience spellbound. Having heard him several times before, I truely am grateful for his clear and simple explanations to complex questions.

I highly recommend everyone to attend this lecture.
